2022 CNYMUN Staff
Cadence Panol is a senior at Fayetteville-Manlius High School. She has been an active member of Fayetteville-Manlius’ Model United Nations Club for the past four years, and has also been a part of CNYMUN in various capacities. Prior to being named Co-Secretary General, she attended CNYMUN as a delegate, served as conference treasurer, chaired the Commission on Population and Development, and was on Executive Staff as the GA Content Director.
She is involved with Fayetteville-Manlius’ theatre and arts departments, having served as dance captain for the school’s musicals and as an officer of the school’s chapter of National Art Honors Society. Outside of school, Cadence teaches at Guzman’s Dance Studio, and enjoys reading and drawing in her spare time. She is very grateful for the opportunity to spearhead such a reputable conference, and is excited to see what CNYMUN will bring this year!
Andrew Ahn is a senior at F-M this year and has been a part of MUN since 8th grade. He is honored and extremely excited to serve as the Co-Secretary General for CNYMUN 2022, and hopes to see another successful conference come to fruition! Previously, Andrew has fulfilled the roles of Crisis Staffer for the “Scramble for Africa” committee in CNYMUN 2020 and Co-Crisis Director in the ‘Crisis Triumvirate’ of CNYMUN 2021.
When not doing MUN-related activities in school, Andrew is working on Science Olympiad, competing in Math League, buzzing in for the Masterminds trivia team, or playing on the school’s varsity golf team. Outside of school, he enjoys biking with friends, working on his car, competing in automotive racing, and playing the cello. Andrew is really looking forward to CNYMUN 2022!
Chef De Cabinet
Eddie Elliott is a senior at F-M this year and this is his fourth year as a member of the MUN club. In addition to being CNYMUN 2022’s Chef de Cabinet, a role he is incredibly excited to fulfill, he has been the MUN club’s treasurer for three years and was previously co-director of crisis committees at CNYMUN last year, and chair of the Scramble for Africa committee his sophomore year.
Outside of MUN, Eddie swims on the school’s varsity team, is involved with the school newspaper, plays in the band, and is a member of the school’s trivia club, Masterminds. When not in school or related activities, he likes to take naps, watch action and comedy television shows, and write articles on Wikipedia, where he serves as a volunteer administrator. Eddie is beyond excited for CNYMUN 2022!
GA Content Director
Parisa Ahmed is a senior at Fayetteville-Manlius High School and this is her fourth year doing MUN. She has been part of the CNYMUN team for three years now, chairing the Development Programme for CNYMUN 2020 and the Environment Programme for CNYMUN 2021. She has previously been the MUN club’s parliamentarian as well.
Outside of MUN, Parisa plays on the girls varsity tennis team, is the vice president of Health Professionals of Tomorrow and Diversity Coalition, secretary for French Club, one of the leaders of Refugee Outreach Club, and the president of her school’s chapter of French Honors Society. She is also a facilitator for Community Wide Dialogue, an organizer for Syracuse Asian Student Alliance, and volunteers at local charity clinics. When she actually has some free time, Parisa likes to paint, spend time with friends, overspend while online shopping, and pick up random hobbies she’ll drop in three weeks. She is super excited to serve as your GA Content Director this year and is looking forward to meeting you all for CNYMUN 2022!
ECOSOC Content Director
Talia Cavalline is a senior at FM and this is her fourth year in MUN. This will be her third year on staff for CNYMUN as she chaired the Scramble for Africa committee her sophomore year and was on the Operations Team her junior year.
Outside of MUN Talia plays on the volleyball and lacrosse teams at FM, and is a member of Student Council and Broadcast Journalism. In her free time, Talia’s an avid napper and likes to go out and ski or hang out with friends. She is very grateful and excited to serve as your ECOSOC Content Director for CNYMUN 2022 and hopes it can be the best conference possible under the circumstances!
Jr Content Director
Omar Bou Aram
Omar Bou Aram is a junior at FM and this is his fourth year involved with MUN. Omar’s MUN career started in 8th grade when he was a page for CNYMUN 2019. Immediately he fell in love with MUN and has participated as a delegate in the following years. This year he has had the honor to serve as the Junior Content Director for CNYMUN 2022. Outside of MUN, Omar plays tennis for the FM Varsity team, and loves to play his guitar. During his free time, he loves to play video games and read. Omar enjoys travelling, learning about new cultures and sampling new foods. Omar looks forward to making CNYMUN 2022 the best possible experience for everyone and can’t wait to see everyone online.
Milo Sinclair is a senior at Fayetteville-Manlius High School and has been involved in MUN throughout his high school career, as a delegate, chair and now Senior Operations Director. He is really excited to make CNYMUN 2022 as efficient and enjoyable as possible.
Outside of MUN, Milo plays varsity soccer and rugby, is on Student Council, and tutors refugees in the Syracuse area. In his spare time, Milo enjoys spending time with friends, cooking, and listening to music. He can’t wait for this year's conference to kickoff, and is super excited for an amazing event full of engaging debate!
Jr Operations Director
Marissa Zhai is a Junior at Fayetteville-Manlius High School and has participated in MUN since her freshman year. She's served as a delegate in past CNYMUN conferences including 2021's virtual zoom experience, and hopes to give everyone a similarly great experience this year.
Outside of MUN she rows for the FM Varsity Crew team, edits for the school newspaper, and tutors local CNY kids on weekends. During her free time, she enjoys going outside, falling down youtube rabbit holes, and annoying her siblings. She’s excited to see this conference come to fruition, and is looking forward to a great weekend at CNYMUN 2022!
Jaden Duggal is a senior at Fayetteville-Manlius High School and has been involved in MUN since his freshman year. He serves as a co-director of the Crisis committees and looks forward to making sure that everything runs well. Last year he was a director for Crisis and he looks to draw on that experience to run a good conference.
Outside of MUN, Jaden is part of the varsity tennis team and was the captain of his volleyball team. In his spare time he loves being with friends, being outside, and listening to music. He looks forward to making the best out of a virtual conference and can’t wait for CNYMUN 2022.
Anna Manta is a senior at Fayetteville-Manlius High School and has been involved in MUN since her freshman year. She chaired the Joint-NGO Crisis Committee her sophomore year and Security Council her junior year, and will be drawing on her previous experience to fulfill her duties on Executive Staff. In addition to serving as the co-director of Crisis committees, she is also the Vice President of the club.
Outside of MUN, Anna is the captain of the Girls Varsity Tennis Team, a member of the Varsity Science Olympiad team, co-founder and president of Health Professionals of Tomorrow community organization, and Programming Director for the New York chapter of Generation Ratify. In her spare time, she likes to draw, listen to music, ski, spend time outdoors, hang out with friends, and watch too many TV shows. She is looking forward to the conference despite the virtual format, and the two days of compelling debate!
Jr Crisis Director
Anthony Ahn is a junior at Fayetteville-Manlius High School and this is his fourth year being involved in MUN. He has participated in numerous conferences as a delegate including CNYMUN 2020, and CNYMUN 2021.
Outside of MUN, Anthony is a member of the Varsity Golf Team, Varsity Science Olympiad Team, CFO of the nonprofit organization, SciExcite, and is a member of the school’s literary magazine, Voices. In his free time, he also loves to mountain bike, ski, play pickup basketball games with his friends, and listen to music. He looks forward to making CNYMUN 2022 the best possible experience despite it being online!
