2020 CNYMUN Staff


Ryan has participated in MUN for all four years of high school. He started as a delegate at CNYMUN for his first two years. Then junior year he was chair of the Anglo-Cherokee War Joint Crisis committee. Outside of MUN he plays viola in FM’s Symphony Orchestra, rows on FM’s varsity rowing team and has a third-degree black belt in karate. Over the summer you’ll find him working at Lourdes Camp. Ryan looks forward to making CNYMUN 2020 an exciting and productive experience.

Besides being an avid golfer and J.R.R. Tolkien fan, Jackson occasionally participates in MUN. In college, he plans on studying finance. As a delegate, he enjoys imposing crippling economic sanctions on other nations and will gladly call you out for using the term “parly pro”. At CNYMUN 2019, Jackson served as Operations Director where he diligently coordinated the distribution of flower sale slips among other equally as important duties. As Co-Secretary General for CNYMUN 2020, he truly looks forward to seeing what kind of innovation delegates bring to the table and how they can incorporate the conference theme into their resolutions and debate!

Kathy Yang is the President of Fayetteville-Manlius MUN and has been involved with the club since her freshman year. She chaired the Association of Southeast Asian Nations committee at CNYMUN 2019, and is excited to embrace her new role as Chef de Cabinet this year! Outside of MUN, Kathy is a veteran attorney on the Mock Trial team, an editor for the Voices literary magazine, and a facilitator for the Community-Wide Dialogue to End Racism between Fayetteville-Manlius High School and Nottingham High School. In her spare time, she enjoys writing creative nonfiction and playing violin in the Symphoria Young Artists Orchestra.

Nihan is a senior at Fayetteville-Manlius High School and has been involved with MUN for all four years of high school. Last year, she was a chair for the Social, Cultural and Humanitarian Committee, and can’t wait to be this year’s General Assembly Content Director! Outside of MUN, Nihan is a member of SciExcite, which brings the love of science to kids, is president of FM's Refugee Outreach Club Association, plays viola in FM’s Symphony Orchestra, and is an avid Marvel fan. She loves to go hiking and spend time outdoors with friends and family, and always looks forward to traveling. Nihan is excited to make CNYMUN 2020 the best CNYMUN yet!

Kate Scuderi

Kate Scuderi is a senior at Fayetteville-Manlius High School. She has been a member of  MUN club for four years. Along with MUN, she is the president of the FM International Club and on the varsity field hockey and crew team. Outside of school, Kate is a part of SciExcite, which teaches science to young minds. She also loves to ski, pet her dog Moose, and drink kombucha.


Maisie Ruddy, a Junior at Fayetteville-Manlius High School, has enjoyed being your 2020 CNYMUN Operations Director thus far. Working behind the scenes in this position has helped her establish a semblance of understanding technology. Maisie has been an active member of MUN since Freshman year. At CNYMUN 2019 she chaired DISEC and hopes to see many returning delegates. Besides MUN, Maisie runs varsity Track and Field, is FM's Improv Club Treasurer, Student Council Accountant, and the Junior Representative for Every 15 Minutes. Outside of school, she enjoys sailing, her cat, and Harry Potter. Maisie is incredibly excited for a weekend of productive debate and fun at CNYMUN!

Claire has been a part of the FM MUN delegation for 4 years and is very excited to be taking the position of Head of Secretariat (a.k.a. alpha position) for CNYMUN 2020! She chaired the General Assembly Plenary last year and was a secretariat member herself the year prior. Besides MUN, Claire is a big part in producing Fayetteville-Manlius High School’s news show and newspaper. She has also been a dedicated dancer for fifteen years. Claire is extremely excited for the best CNYMUN ever!

A senior member of the MUN, Chris is excited to be this year’s Crisis Director. Ever since his early involvement in the club in his freshman year, specialized and crisis committees were always of interest to him. Last year Chris chaired the Security Council committee at CNYMUN and is looking to make this year’s crisis committees even better than ever before. Outside of MUN, Chris is a three-year starting varsity goalie for soccer and greatly enjoys skiing. Chris is heading to Saint Lawrence University next year to continue playing soccer and study International Economics but before he leaves, he will make sure CNYMUN 2020 is the best one yet!

Callum is a junior at Fayetteville-Manlius High School and has been in the Model UN club at FM for 3 years. He is looking forward to being this CNYMUN’s junior Crisis Director, as well as chairing the Security Council Committee. Outside of MUN, Callum is a member of the Fayetteville-Manlius High School Science Olympiad team. In addition, he does karate, Boy Scouts, and plays the violin. Callum is a die-hard Star Wars fan and enjoys all things Marvel. He also enjoys traveling with family, having been to over 20 different countries. Callum is excited to be a part of CNYMUN and is looking forward to an amazing and productive conference.
