2023 CNYMUN Staff 

Co-Secretary General
Allison Wong

Allison Wong is a senior at Fayetteville-Manlius High School and is excited to serve as your Co-Secretary General for CNYMUN 2023! Previously, she has been a part of the conference as a page, delegate, crisis staffer, and chair, making this her fifth CNYMUN. Outside of committee, Allison is an attorney for Mock Trial, communications director for the school newspaper, president of the Spanish Club, and co-founder for the Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Club. In her free time, she can often be found hanging out with friends, going on a run, listening to podcasts, or getting lost in a good book. Allison is beyond grateful that the conference is back in-person at Syracuse University and can’t wait to see what CNYMUN’s fortieth anniversary will bring!

Co-Secretary General
Omar Bou Aram

Omar Bou Aram is a senior at Fayetteville-Manlius High School. He has been involved with MUN for the past five years and enjoys it very much! Having a diverse ethnic background fueled his passion for foreign policy. Omar intends to double major in Biology and Middle Eastern Studies in college. He credits CNYMUN for changing the course of his life and getting him involved with organizations that help refugees. When he is not studying hard, he spends his time playing tennis, volunteering or playing his guitar. Omar is honored to be Co-Secretary General for CNYMUN 2023 and hopes that this conference will be a memorable experience for all of its attendees.

Anthony Ahn

Anthony Ahn is a senior at Fayetteville-Manlius High School. He has been involved in MUN previously as a page, delegate, chair, and Jr. Crisis Director and this will be his fifth year involved in MUN. Anthony is the president of the FM MUN club, Co-CEO of SciExcite, president-elect of his school’s Science Honor Society chapter, and Co-Founder of the FM Investing Club. He is also on the school’s Varsity Golf Team. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, mountain biking, and skiing. Anthony looks forward to the 40th anniversary conference of CNYMUN and hopes to see some amazing debate!

Senior Content Director
Meher Chahal

Meher Chahal is a senior at Fayetteville-Manlius High School and is honored to serve as your Senior Content Director for CNYMUN 2023! She has participated in the conference as a delegate and a chair and is now grateful to serve as part of the Executive Staff for her final CNYMUN. Outside of MUN, she rows on the school’s Varsity Rowing Team, is the Global Lead for Dey Leadership Academy, and volunteers at a maternity ward. She loves spending time outdoors in and around water, being a vegan counessieur, making core memories with friends, and throwing pottery on the wheel. Meher is excited to see some productive debate and can’t wait to see you all on campus!

Junior Content Director
Kaylee Yang

Kaylee Yang is a junior at Fayetteville-Manlius High School and is one of the Junior Content Directors for CNYMUN 2023. She started her MUN career as a page at CNYMUN 2020 and has been a delegate and chair at CNYMUN as well. Outside of MUN, Kaylee is the FM MUN club’s secretary, attorney on the Mock Trial team, president-elect of her school’s Tri-M chapter, and a facilitator for Community Wide Dialogue. In her free time, she loves playing viola, taking walks, or sleeping. Kaylee is so excited to see this conference take shape and can’t wait to see some amazing debate at CNYMUN’s 40th anniversary.

Junior Content Director
Arusha Ramaswamy

Arusha Ramaswamy is a junior at Fayetteville-Manlius High School, and one of the Junior Content Directors for CNYMUN 2023. She started MUN from Interdisc Social Studies in 9th grade and has been a chair at JDMUN, and has had a fantastic time as a delegate. Outside CNYMUN, Arusha is one of the secretaries for FM Diversity Coalition, president and one of the founders of FM Immigrant Alliance Education Society, a facilitator for Community Wide Dialogue, and one of the Youth Council members for Project Unloaded. In her spare time she enjoys reading and taking naps with her cats. Arusha had a great time as a delegate last year at CNYMUN and is really excited to be part of what will surely be a fantastic conference.

Senior Operations Director
Marissa Zhai

Marissa Zhai is a senior at Fayetteville-Manlius High School and has participated in MUN since her freshman year. She's served as a delegate in past CNYMUN conferences including 2021s and 2022s virtual zoom extravaganza, and hopes to give everyone a great experience this year with a fully in-person conference! Outside of MUN, she rows for the FM Varsity Crew team, edits for the school newspaper, and tutors local CNY kids on weekends. During her free time, she enjoys going outside, falling down youtube rabbit holes, and annoying her siblings. She’s excited to see this conference come to fruition, and is looking forward to a great weekend at CNYMUN 2023!

Junior Operations Director
Trisha Adavikolanu

Trisha Adavikolanu is a junior at Fayetteville-Manlius High School and is one of the Operations Directors for CNYMUN 2023. She started MUN as a page in 8th grade and over the years has been a delegate as well as a chair at last year's CNYMUN. Outside of CNYMUN, Trisha is the treasurer for MUN and the Refugee Outreach Club Association as well as being the Assembly Events Directors for the Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders Heritage Club. She is also a part of the girls varsity tennis team. Outside of school, she loves spending time with her friends and family and traveling. Trisha is beyond excited to see CNYMUN’s 40th anniversary and for the conference to return back to Syracuse University for some amazing debate!

Senior Crisis Director
Evan Newton

Evan Newton is the Senior Crisis Director for CNYMUN 2023, and is a senior at Fayetteville-Manlius High School. He has been a part of CNYMUN starting as a page in 8th grade, and a delegate later on. Outside of MUN debate, Evan is the President of SciExcite, Treasurer of Science Honor Society, President of Wind Ensemble, and is the Head of Publicity for the Junior Classical League. Evan is also a member of the Varsity Soccer team, plays the saxophone, sings in Chorale, and is a 3rd Degree Black Belt. When he’s not involved with his extracurriculars, he likes to hang out with family and friends, travel, and is a diehard Atlanta Falcons fan. Evan looks forward to the exciting Crisis committees at CNYMUN!

Junior Crisis Director
Stephen Wu

Stephen Wu is a Junior at Fayetteville-Manlius High School and is very excited to be the Junior Crisis Director for CNYMUN 2023! He has been involved with CNYMUN every year since 2020, as a page, delegate, and a Crisis Staffer. Outside of CNYMUN, he is the Vice President of FM MUN, an attorney for the Mock Trial Team, and president of Spikeball Club. In his freetime, he enjoys going on walks, playing Table Tennis, and playing Spikeball. Stephen can’t wait for the first Joint Crisis Committee of CNYMUN!
