Guest Speakers at CNYMUN 2025
Hello all,

CNYMUN is TWO DAYS AWAY. We, the CNYMUN Staff, cannot wait to see all of your hard work come to fruition in the form of fruitful debate. As CNYMUN always does, we have organized a roster of nearly a dozen guest speakers—in addition to the keynote and charity speakers—to supplement delegates' experience by visiting committees and providing their unique perspectives. Our list includes university professors, a former U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces judge, women’s rights history center representatives, and more. We are incredibly thankful to our speakers, who you can read about at the link provided.
Sincerely,
Zach Mangoba and Nicole Zheng (1/8/2025)
Japanese Cabinet Member Update & Delegation Changes
To all Advanced and Crisis delegates,
We would like to remind all delegates representing individuals (those in the U.S. Labor Summit, Iranian Majles, or Japanese Cabinet) that they are also representing a position alongside the individual. If the individual representing that position is to change between now and CNYMUN, you will need to represent the new individual who holds the position. For instance, if the president of Iran were to change before CNYMUN, the delegate who was supposed to represent Masoud Pezeshkian would now represent whoever the new president is. Note, as Inauguration Day is January 20th, delegates representing individuals within the Biden Administration will not represent anyone within the incoming second Trump Administration.
Furthermore, Japan underwent an election between the date we sent out CNYMUN registration, and now. In turn, the Japanese Cabinet has changed and attached are the individuals who members of the Japanese Cabinet will be representing at CNYMUN 2025.
Sincerely,
Zach Mangoba and Nicole Zheng (12/07/2024)
Welcome to Central New York Model United Nations' 42nd Conference!
Hello all,
On behalf of all of the CNYMUN Steering Committee, I, Zach Mangoba, and my Co-Secretary General Nicole Zheng would like to invite you to CNYMUN 2025! Our staff has been preparing for this conference since May, and we are extremely excited to demonstrate our efforts this coming January.
Perhaps the most important of these efforts is each committee’s chair letters, which have all been posted to our website. If you have any questions or cannot access them, please reach out to us.
As a conference, we would also like to announce that our theme is “Pathways to Peace and Prosperity.” In turn, we would like to promote cultural awareness and the ideal of peace between ideas and ways of life. In doing so, we encourage delegates to work collaboratively towards a common, prosperous future, favorable to all ways of life.
Furthermore, our charity at CNYMUN 2025 will be Peace, Inc.! The organization serves over 10,000 people in Central New York and is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting poverty and improving the lives of underprivileged individuals and families here in Onondaga County. While dedicated to Syracuse, Peace Inc. is a part of the wider Community Action Agencies developed in the 1960s during the War on Poverty, and similar organizations can be found elsewhere nationally.
More details about the theme and charity can be found on the website's homepage.
Sincerely,
Zach Mangoba and Nicole Zheng (11/04/24)
