Hotel Rooming

The Marriott Syracuse Downtown Hotel has been gracious enough to allocate rooms for our traveling delegates. Below are three different rooming packages at the Marriott where advisors can book rooms directly with the links.

Along with this, CNYMUN will provide a shuttle service for the schools whose buses will not be staying with them over the duration of the conference. The shuttle service will run to the Marriott on Friday night (January 5th) after the 3rd committee session and back to Syracuse University on Saturday morning (January 6th) for committee sessions 4 and 5. However, the shuttle service will NOT be provided for after the closing ceremonies. There will be secure rooms provided for schools to put their luggage during Saturday after their checkout.

Method of Reservation

Individuals: Reservations for the Event will be made by individual schools/attendees. All reservations must be booked through the provided booking like and reserved in the name of the attendee who will be in each individual room

Once your room is reserved, please fill out the credit card authorization that is provided and email it to Victoria.Cook@marriott.com with a list of the names reserved to secure your reservation. An email will be returned with the confirmation numbers. If you are tax exempt, please send your exempt documentation at this time as well.

**Hotel encourages that each reservation made through the booking link must have the individual(s) names who will be staying in the room to speed up the check in process. If the individual students' names are not on the reservation the Front Desk Agent will need to manually update every reservation at check in, making this process potentially take longer. Also, the hotel will provide a credit card authorization for you to share with the schools that must be emailed to Victoria.Cook@marriott.com

The Room Block and agreed room rates will be available until the "Cut Off Date" of Tuesday, December 5, 2023. After that date, unreserved rooms in the Room Block will be released for general sale. Room reservations after the “Cut Off Date” will be offered based on availability at prevailing rates. The parties agree that release of the rooms at Cut Off does not impact the enforceability of this Contract or Group's obligations under the Performance Clause.

Food Options

With CNYMUN back on the Syracuse campus, the old tradition of meals on Marshall Street is back! A short five-minute walk from the committee rooms, Marshall Street offers a wide variety of quick, easy, and cheap food options. Here’s a quick overview of what’s on Marshall Street after two years of changes:

For something quick and familiar, chain restaurants like Chipotle, and Five Guys  are open. Dunkin’, Salt City Coffee,  Kung Fu Tea, or Hi Tea will sell the energy boosts you need to power your way through the next committee session. There’s plenty of ethnic cuisine as well, including Chinese, Mediterranean, Indian, Japanese, and Mexican. And of course, there are the Marshall Street classics of Varsity Pizza and Insomnia Cookies.

Meal times are great for meeting up with your friends from other committees over a slice of pizza or getting to know your new friends from other schools while digging into some cookies. We strongly encourage delegates to use this as a time away from committee and to form new friendships.

For a full list of food options, please visit https://crousemarshall.com/dining-and-nightlife/restaurants/. Keep in mind that delegates must return back to committee on time so they are discouraged from choosing to eat at restaurants with long wait times. Delegates should bring enough money for all of their meals with an average of $10-20 per meal.
